Jodhpur is one of the leading “Urban Local Governance Body” in Rajasthan.  It is committed to provide transparent, accountable and efficient local governance through the use of modern technologies especially in Information technology management and administration fields.  In 2016, PHED, Rajasthan selected NJS Engineers India Pvt. Limited for Consultancy Services under AFD funded Reorganization of Jodhpur Water Supply project at Jodhpur.  The major deliverables was integrated to the “Digital Engineering” that Include

  • Multidimensional diagnosis of the existing situation;
  • Collect, produce and analyzed data related to key performance indicators and procedures
  • Preparation and implementation strategy for NRW reduction, improved service availability in 11 identified pilot zones (24X7 continuous supply);
  • Preparation and implementation of Water Demand strategy including input on Public Relations  and Social intermediation;

Innovation

In this project, the role of “Fresh High Resolution Satellite Imagery” was to provide feature in a very short amount of time, covering a vast area. The high resolution imagery, orthorectified & geo-positioned, provided an excellent source of base information upon which accurate base map was developed. The team procured High Resolution Satellite Imagery for the entire 511 SQ-KM from NRSC, Hyderabad during December 2016. The Imagery covers the Jodhpur municipal limits & 47 other adjacent villages.

Achievement

  • Develop detailed Base Map of entire Jodhpur Urban Area
  • Updating information on all road networks and other urban infrastructure
  • Development of existing land-use of the project area.
  • Develop the PHED’s Jodhpur “Asset Data” on uniform platform
  • Collection and analysis of data on population density, distribution and growth

The innovative integration of Rajdaara with PHED, Jodhpur is the pioneering & out of box thinking from the project team to develop the hydraulic modeling for the rehabilitation of existing water supply scheme at PHED, Jodhpur.
